David Mabb

David Mabb has been working with the fabric and wallpaper designs of William Morris (1835-1896) for the past nine years. His ongoing “collaboration” with Morris has taken many forms, including his interest in Morris’ politics and legacy. By reinterpreting Morris’ pattern designs, Mabb has been able to investigate and comment on various political artistic traditions.

David Mabb’s exhibitions in Canada include Oakville Galleries and the Art Gallery of Windsor. He has also had solo exhibitions in India, Ireland, Lithuania and the UK. Mabb currently lives in London and teaches Art Practice at Goldsmith’s college.
