Montreal based artist Karilee Fuglem was born in Prince George, British Columbia in 1960.  She completed her MFA at Concordia University, Montreal in 1992.
Using ordinary materials, Fuglem creates mixed media installations whose ephemerality  offer an experience of a  momentary, fleeting existence.  She has mounted several projects at public galleries across Canada, including a solo show at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery in 2000 and the Oakville Galleries in 2003, and group shows at the Edmonton Art Gallery and Musee du Quebec. Her work has been collected by the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal and the Musée du Québec.
